ABOUT

Rohan’s career started with him learning the trade at Capital Television in the early ‘80’s. After 10 years at Capital, he moved on to operate as a freelance cameraman before setting up as Rotating Head Productions. This company has worked across Australia and overseas, including the U.K., Africa, Indonesia and New Zealand.

Our major focus is to provide quality lighting/camera work for the most exacting client. Our team is friendly and versatile, making sure that your projects shine.

Our client base is wide and varied, ranging from Broadcast TV networks (Australian and international), through to government departments, commercial production houses, independent producers, bands and even film students.

Projects range from national release commercials to international news and documentaries, lifestyle programs, multi-camera OB’s, music videos, short films and corporate and training videos. In 2003, Rohan received a Silver Award (NSW/ACT division) from the Australian Cinematographers Society, for his music clip ‘Ghost Riders’.

Working with such varied clients and projects means that as well as using my own equipment, I have had access to all of the latest (and some extremely old) equipment. This has included Sony’s High Definition cameras (HDCam & XDCamHD), Super 16 and 35 mm film cameras as well as the usual Betacam SP, SX, Digital Betacam, DVCam and DVCPro (25, 50 & Varicam), cameras and editing equipment.
